The Bank of Russia has released its first official registers for digital custodians and cryptocurrency trading companies, establishing a legal framework for local digital asset transactions.
The registers cover two categories of licensed participants: digital custodians and cryptocurrency trading companies. The registers are the central bank's first official lists of this kind.
Under transitional rules, four entities are included.
